Life is an Art....

About C J Lewis

Studied Fine Art in 1978 at East Sydney Tech, Darlinghurst, NSW for five months. Highly Commended Award by the Blue Mountains Art Council in the Open Section of Arts in the Mountains for a painting titled Tribute to Peter – The Art Room an oil 41” x 48”. I love doing large works.

I worked in commercial photography (Phillip Baxter Photography) for a few years doing the accounts, client liaison on art layouts for their products, developing film, printing and doing copy photography of old prints and art works for books. One of my major jobs was hand toning, with the old Kodak monotone tablets. One of those jobs was a print for Unicef which ended up as a poster promoting the organisation worldwide. It came into the studio as 4”x 6” print that had been folded in four and kept in a wallet for 2 years so I had to recopy it, produce a new 10"x8"print then spot with the toners all the scratches out before rephotographing the spotted print to produce a negative large enough to have it printed up into a large poster. It was of a woman and malnourished child and I cried for the whole of the first day working on it due to the appalling condition of the people particularly the little child. I left that position to live in Hawaii in late 1978 where I lived until 1980.

When I returned from living in Hawaii I worked in the recording industry as the bookings co-ordinator for EMI Studios 301 in Sydney (sister studio to Abbey Road Studios, London, recording studios of the Beatles among other superstars). At the time the largest recording studio in the Southern Hemisphere where I learnt the techniques of recording. I then left that position in 1984 and went to live in UK for 6 months before moving to the USA (Kansas 3 months & Nebraska 3 months) then moved back to London at the beginning of 1985 and returned to Sydney in 1987.

I also spent a considerable time working in modelling and performing (commercials, stage & movies – as an extra only in movies) and was a founder of the Met Theatre in Katoomba (1994-1996). Performing, art and writing are a part of my hereditary (genetics).

Some of my art works are in private collections in UK, USA, France, Japan, Switzerland and Australia.

I LOVE all creativity particularly since we are ALL a part of the creative process of life. I believe that our emitted vibrations of energy are returned to us in many ways by Mother Nature…the vibrations we emit via our thoughts and the feelings our thoughts create within us so if they are thoughts and feelings of love we get love. I believe that movement also applies to anger and destruction…it is the battle between good and evil. I also believe that is the true meaning of “As you give so shall you receive” and all those other wise old proverbs of days gone by that still apply to this day and age and that no one can change that process of the energies of God’s Universe no matter how hard they try, we can only alter the flow of the energies through our understanding of the process. To me, God is the Ultimate – The Almighty Creator and Master Artist and will always be.

I believe that All as the collective consciousness of this world creates this world as to how it becomes through how we allow ourselves, as individuals. to be. That it is in our power of self-control and up to each and everyone to have their self-control in order through their discipline of self. And, that it is with interdependency of each other as a whole that we can alter the flow of the energies of this world to create a loving, peaceful and abundant world for All.

Other art work includes: poetry, philosophy, hypotheses and inventions. Some of my poetry has been published in various anthologies in both Australia and USA as well as on CD’s for the hearing impaired through the International Library of Poetry.

All my art works posted on RedBubble are my own and therefore are copyright and are not to be used for any other purpose without my written permission other than for sale by RedBubble.
